one rear-ended accident ( repaired by popular race-car dealer) to my satisfaction. Also, replaced engine (Jasper) on 11/17....hoses/belts all new. htr/air perfect, new full/size spare tire. Vehicle looks & drives like new. These comments exceed Kelly BB top estimate by far.

We moved from our standard Ford F-150 after our 4th due to needing more seats, and we really liked the suspension on this Chevy, especially for so large a vehicle. With a couple of teenagers, bucket seats were a plus. Now, at first, the suburban had everything we asked for: seating, cargo room, back up cameras, DVD, leather for spills, etc. it served us well until about 2017 when things started falling apart. It started with the plastic knobs on the bucket seats, then the dash started cracking. Fast forward to 2018 and there are more annoyances: labels on the console are rubbing off, the power seat up/down has stopped working, the rear access continually pops open (causing even more problems when we lock all the doors and then it pops—the alarm sounds). While all of these are minor issues, for a vehicle that is less than 5 years old, I am severely disappointed. We owned 2 Fords for more than 10 years and never experienced any such issues until into their teens. I expected better from an American company, and I guess we’ll go back to our trusty Ford.
  • Sticking with Suburbans!

I love my suburban! I will be getting another one when I need a new vehicle. The only reason I gave it a 9 on design was because I am short and to check for oncoming traffic when I make a turn, there is a large amount of space between the front and side windows which I have to lean forward to see or it could block an entire vehicle, but I have gotten used to it and its not really a problem, only at first when I wasnt used to it. I gave it a 9 on quality because 2 of the seat release mechanisms have broke. I have read this is a regularly occurring problem on this vehicle. We have 6 kids and upgraded from a mini-van. I will never drive a smaller vehicle until my kids are out of the house. I LOVE MY SUBURBAN!
